NextGenAccess in conjunction with SSE Telecom have completed the upgrade of their Network to Network Interfaces (NNI’s) to 10GB.
The upgrade of the NNI’s in Telehouse docklands follows the new NNI in Guildford in Surrey earlier this year. NextGenAccess have in parallel upgraded their network infrastructure to support additional handoff of wholesale NNI’s to their ISP customers at 10GB & 1GB, with the scale to support over 30 new wholesale ISP customers in the next 12 months.
This will allow ISP’s to deliver ultrafast services across the NextGenAccess fibre network UK wide, from a single interconnect location.
“Having used SSE Enterprise Telecoms to provide backhaul and connectivity services for the last 4 years, we are very pleased to complete the upgrade to give our ISP customers the ability to take UK wide ultrafast wholesale broadband products at scale in Docklands. This makes the offer very simple and is in alignment with the other UK wide operators.” – stated Kenny Roberts, NextGenAccess Technical Director
“We are pleased to provide NextGenAccess additional capacity to provide backhaul connectivity UK wide to their access networks and Points of Presence (PoP’s)” – Ady Baker, SSE Enterprise Telecom added.
