NextGenAccess is a neutral host, managed fibre infrastructure service provider. We specialise in custom, scalable cost-effective core and access network dark fibre connectivity solutions. Our customers are carriers, data centre operators, service providers, mobile network operators and public sector bodies. Our mission is to provide compelling alternatives to lit fibre services and build unique routes, offering greater flexibility for our customers and empowering them to control their own bandwidth requirements.
We operate in a highly sustainable way by re-using existing infrastructure assets in preference to building new ones. Our Openreach PIA licence and Path to Collaborate status gives us the right to deploy fibre and sub-duct anywhere within the UK’s most extensive network of ducts, poles and chambers.
This re-use approach is not only environmentally friendly, but also far less disruptive, costly and time consuming.
We are not restricted to Openreach infrastructure, where necessary we use our code powers and decades of engineering experience to build out from it to create lead-ins, overcome congestion and maintain route diversity. This blended approach uniquely positions us to undertake Special Engineering Designs (SED) to meet the high availability requirements of our carrier and hyperscaler customers.
NextGenAccess is a privately-owned company with investment from the National Digital Infrastructure Fund, a commercial fund established in 2017 by Amber Infrastructure Group which has over £8 billion of assets under management with interests in digital and other public infrastructure, sustainable energy and real estate.
